Learn how to make Chole at home with chef Seema only on Swaad Anusaar <br /> <br />Chole Masala is a very popular Punjabi dish typically served with bhature.So learn step by step with Chef Seema how to make the delicious Chole at home only on Swaad Anusaar <br /> <br />Ingredients <br />- 2 – 21/2 cup of water <br />- 1 1/2 cup of white chickpeas <br />- 1 handful of chana dal <br />- 1 tsp salt <br />- 2 onions <br />- 3-4 green chillies <br />- 2 heap tbsp ginger garlic paste <br />- water <br />- 2-3 bay leaves <br />- 3 tomatoes <br />- 1/2 tsp salt <br />- 1 tsp red chilli powder <br />- 1 tsp black pepper <br />-1 tsp cumin powder <br />- 1 tsp coriander powder <br />- 3 tsp anardana (pomegranate seeds) <br />- 1 tsp garam masala <br />- Coriander leaves <br /> <br />Method <br />- In a pressure cooker add water, white chickpeas, chana dal and salt. Let it cook for 3 whistles. <br /> <br />- Roast the onions without peeling and keep aside to cool down <br /> <br />- Grind together roasted onion, green chillies, ginger garlic paste and water <br /> <br />- In a pan add oil, bay leaf, grinded paste and cook it well <br /> <br />- Grind 3 tomatoes and add little water while grinding <br /> <br />- Add the grinded tomato paste to pan and mix it well <br /> <br />- Add salt, red chilli powder,black pepper, cumin powder, coriander powder and anardana <br /> <br />- Add the chanas/ chickpeas to the masala <br /> <br />- Cover the chole with lid for 15 minutes then add garam masala and coriander leaves <br /> <br />- Chole is ready to be served
